Looking for some Air Force blue furniture for a 20 in A2.

They are pretty rare. Only seen a couple sets in a few years I’ve been looking. I do have a spare set if intersted.

I’d love to find a glow in the dark set at some point

I never knew they had AF blue furniture. Something like that would be cool to go with the AF 22lr conversion kits I have.

A friend of mine has an original 601 with blue furniture. I once had a 601 bayonet with a blue handle as well, and looking at the photos, it was an exact match for his furniture.

Unlike standard blue trainers made out of plastic, the rifles are essentially a demilitarized version of the M16A2. This is accomplished by turning an actual M16A2 parts kit into a rifle, minus the trigger group and a filled barrel

I thought the old Cavalry Manufacturing would have you, but it looks as if they only produce light blue other than in their carbine stocks.

Here is a picture of my 601 bayonet. My buddies 601 blue furniture is much more professionally done than the obvious repaint of this bayonet, but both blues are the same

I have one of these Olympic Arms trainers in my collection, BIIRC it has a light bulb or laser in the end of the barrel that is activated when you pull the trigger

Looks like blue over green?

I wonder if the AF did the paint job and I wonder if it was indeed for training purposes. I'd imagine since the rifle's furniture is so easy to remove it would yield better results with painting.

If your friend wouldn't mind sharing a picture (even if it must remain private), I'd love to see the gun as well.

They probably didn't care about how it looked, would be rather easy to tape it up if they wanted to do a nice job.

The blue on the 601 furniture is so smooth and perfect that it looks like it was done at the factory. My buddy STILL has a flip phone AND no computer, but the next time I see him, I will snap some pictures of his blue stocked 601. If I remember correctly, the hand guards and the stock are blue, while the grip is green.
