What would the value of a new in box R6550K all colt model be? Green tag on box, but does not have the .22 conversion. Sold new that way.
This is stamped U.S. Gov. model on lower, triangle forend, old style flash and no bayo lug. Has 4 colt mags, 2 30 rd and 2 20 rd .
I am goint to sell, but don't have a realistic value.     Larry

Are you sure its NIB if it doesn't have the conversion kit?  The only difference between the R6550K and the regular R6550 is the conversion kit.

Sorry for posting in the wrong area, I'm new to the forum. My understanding is that back then you could buy the 6550k without the .22 conversion kit also.

If that was the case, people were just buying a R6550.  The "K" suffix denotes that the model in question came from the factory with the .22 caliber conversion kit.  Not that I put it past Colt to do this, but it seems ridiculous to put a gun without the conversion kit in a R6550K marked box.  Its just a standard R6550.
