I'd say 300.00 is a reasonable price for a used military C7 receiver in the condition pictured, commercial ones are selling for 200.00 - 225.00.
ETA : I've seen NOS Colt C7's sell for 500.00 during Covid and many very nice 733 parts kit take off C7's sell for 400.00. |

I have a Colt grey complete M16A3 upper that I purchased years ago that's been sitting on my M16A2 in the safe. I think its a 14.5 barrel, flat top. Its the old Colt grey and is a perfect match to my circa 84-85 Colt M16A2. Not really using it at all and its in minty condition. Any ideas on a value?

I have a Armalite AR7, black, solid brown furniture. In < 20 rounds fired condition, based on box of ammo stored with weapon.
Provenance of the weapon is it was a gift from Eugene Stoner to a girlfriend, my best friend's mother. Serial number is between 100 and 200, not 50,100 - 50,200, 100 - 200. |

No docs, both my friend and his mother are dead. Both have told me the story personally, so it is first hand, not hearsay. I could generate documentation, and the fact that it is pre production corroborates the provenance. I personalty know it has been in his mother's possession since the late 60s.

LSO rifle length HG's and Pistol Grips are very hot right now, I can see the hg's selling in the 75-100 range on the low end and 150-200 on the gunbroker crazy high end. That stock is worth whatever anyone would pay for it, so 250.00-500.00 is a conservative estimate based off of other sales.

If it has a bushing and is .315 it's SP1, if it's .250 then it's a 604 but either way it's a nice upper and definitely Colt. |

Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster. I recently got this upper along with a brownells 601 lower (which im still debating whether I wanna build or not ). I'm shying away from declaring its surplus just because how excellent the finish is. Completly devoid of any markings other than the CA and a B on the rear takedown pin hole. not 100% sure on what the make is. Any help?

I originally posted this the main retro forum section, but was informed that this was the correct place post my query.
From what I understand it has a very low round count, probably less than 1,500. This is not mine. I am not trying to sell it, or buy. I just have a buddy who is interested in knowing what something like this would go for. So far, I have been told $2,500 in today’s current market. Attached File Attached File |

That lower receiver alone is worth 1500.00 - 2000.00 in CT and MA, just remember that people in most states that have no ban won't pay these prices. |

I'd need more info on the barrel markings to give an accurate appraisal on the upper. The Type E stock and all the buffer, tube, etc $125.00 - $150.00, Colt BCG + CH $200.00.

There's an identical upper listed on GB for $2250.00 but the condition isn't as good as yours. I think that's a bit high, especially for the condition but could see someone paying up to $2000.00 for yours. |

The corrosion really kills the value, if it didn't have the corrosion your looking at $500+ but now with the bore damage I can't see anyone paying more than $150.00 for the barrel and another $50.00 for the HG's, FH, and Gastube. I've seen rare barrels (Winchester or VP 12) with bore damage sell for $450.00+ and that's mainly because of the scarcity. |

Click on this link and scroll down to barrels to get dates, C MP Chrome Bore 1974-1982 This one has a much better bore than the last one but has a decent amount of external finish wear which devalues it slightly, If I were selling this barrel I'd ask $400.00 and take the first offer above $350.00. Again, it could sell on Gunbroker for higher if you get 2 bidders wanting a M16A1 barrel for a BFPU clone.

Almost looks like an early SP1 upper with a later SP1 barrel. Can you take and post more pics of the upper itself and is there any forge codes or markings?
