I've had good luck with Sarco lately.
The stock sets and new manufactured A1 barrels are a good value.IMHO They did forget to put the gas tubes in my recent order, so I called and they sent some out right away. The cool part is that the 2 gas tubes I received were uber-early ones with the tight bend close to the receiver.

Thanks mike_nds I belive I'll buy some stuff from Sarco.
Is the A1 parts kit (AR15/M16 Parts Kit, minus lower receiver (Included are stocks, G.I. handguards, new A-1 barrel, A2 type upper receivers, and all internal parts) a good buy? |

Note that the 'A1 parts kit' has an A2 upper, so no, I wouldn't go that route if your goal is to build a true A1. Sarco seems to be a crapshoot as far as quality goes - some people get great parts, others get crap - pretty hard to blame Sarco - we're talking 45 year old surplus parts for the most part, and they ship a lot of stuff. I think their replacement barrel assys look like a good deal.
