Whats the best way to slick up the sliding brace? I got one that is noticably stiffer to slide than my previous ones.

You could spray some dri-film lube on the tube.  Stiff is good.

Most of the later sb stuff I have been getting is noticeably wobbly. Be glad you got a tight one. I have to mount a couple strips of duct tape on the buffer tube to tighten things up. Could heat it with a heat gun and see if the plastic relaxes a little.
