I picked up a Gunsmoke Enterprises short buffer tube used at a gun show. I need to get a spring for it because the one with does not push the bolt forward very good. What is the best spring to use for this setup? Searching I have read different ideas, is the 23 pound Wolfe a good choice or is there better?

well I've got the old style short Model 1 Sales kit (appears to be the same as the Gun Smoke one from Pics I've seen) and the Wolf 23 Pound spring didn't help a bit

bolt will close and lock with no ammo in the chamber but loading a round and the bolt will not fully close

Don't think it's Bolt Bounce but not sure

Slaped a CAR buffer tube on it and works 100%

I'm not sure the short buffers can be made to work 100%

and a 7.5" Barrel AR Pistol looks stupid with a 7.5" Buffer sticking out the back (the 4" buffer looks bad enough)
