Update! A Hex 2 w/ a SOB is too long for me. The SOB/KAK tube is about perfect.
The Hex 2/SB15 may be good too.

Bumping this instead of making a new thread. I'd like a ST extended buffer tube but can't find one in stock either unless someone knows where.
currently, I have a SB buffer tube and SBM4 and with the brace being right up against the end plate my qd end plate is useless. I have a single point sling I'd like to attach to the end plate and the ST extended buffer tubes seems like the one to get.

On Friday I picked up one of these tubes from Alex Pro Firearms. It's a longer version of one they previously made and fits the SB brace nicely. The chamfers on the tube shoulder also blend into the lines of the brace for a pretty smooth look and feel. The end of the tube and brace are almost flush.
The price is around $39 (check their website for exact price) and does not come with any hardware. Tube only.
My measurements:
OAL= 9-13/16”
Length to tube shoulder= 7-1/4"
Dia= 1-3/16"
Here are some pics with the KAK tube for reference. (The angle at which the pics were taken skew the view of the actual measurements on the tape measure.)
Hmmm, not in love with the tube near the threads and how it looks but since I can't seem to find another extend pistol tube I may just get one of these. Especially for ~$40.
Thanks for the write up.

I have this 9" one on a 10" 300BLK build with a Tailhook brace. It makes it right at 26" OAL, but feels a bit too long for my liking, especially when using the hook, it puts it too close to my elbow and causes my wrist to be tweaked.
I'd like to find an 8" or even just a standard 7" length that is 1.20" diameter or less. I originally had the Kak Shockwave brace and tube, but that tube is too fat (1.25") to fit the Tailhook.

Why use the carbine buffer there? Use the rifle buffer.

Oh, I was thinking it would be too heavy for a pistol length gas system. But now that you said that and I stopped to think about it, I guess you're right, because I have a 9mm buffer in a 7.5" pistol and a rifle buffer weighs even less.

Is this the Sig Tube Pistol Buffer? or did they have another product?

my first gen KAK tube for the SiG brace (no castle nut) has a non taper reinforced shoulder 1.36" dia and 2" in length, measured from the end plate... puts me nose to charging handle without a brace/blade and I use a rubber end cap with no problem

Alex Pro Firearms makes the tube. I picked it up at their shop. They're legit and make some nice stuff.

I'll shoot them an email, I was asking if the tube you showed is the same as their sig tube? I like how it looks with the m4 brace and was going to pick one up

Ah, I gotcha now. They haven't updated the picture on their website. That's the old version for the Sig brace which is obviously shorter. He mentioned that when I was there that it needed to be fixed but I guess they haven't yet.
Yep, the new version fits right up to the end of the SB brace like in my pics above. I like it.

Thanks for the clarification, looks like I'll be spending some money with them in the near future
