What have yall done to reduce recoil??
I'm running a surefire muzzle break it's load but it helps..
I was just wondering if anyone else has any recipes to try..different buffers and stuff?..
Thanks in advance..

I'm using the Miculek brake and just standard .308 buffer and spring in an A1 stock.
Recoil isn't too bad, seems similiar to my FAL's.

Put a limsaver on it. I run an adjustable gas block but the difference is hardly noticable to me. I use a limbsaver for the long range sessions shooting from prone.

That, or if you handload, use reduced loads with a faster powder to keep pressure up for accuracy (like H332). My 16" carbine will cycle a 150gr bullet down to about 1800fps with said powders. Might require a bit more for a rifle-length gas system, but you might be surprised.

Other than that, a brake is about the best thing, though I refuse to run one for the reasons you cite.

I'm building one with the Slash's CAR10 XH buffer and .308 spring that goes with it  CAR XH Buffer and Spring (its the second one down on this page). It should do the trick. Its either this OR an adjustable gas block. Went this route first. I will also be running a Mojo Magnum Brake from Aklys Defense  Mojo Magnum Brake  They made me a one off part where they took off the OD threads for their silencer mount cause I live in the Peoples Republik of Kommiefornia.

I'm hoping this does the trick. My 18" barrel is a mid-length. So we will see. I will be done milling the 80% lower shortly. Hopefully get it to the range in the next couple weeks.

Much Thanks to everyone that's helped me so far!

Special thanks to Stoxie! That guy knows his $hit!

I have an 18" non-fluted heavy barrel and a JP "Ben Cooley" Tactical Brake on my LR-308.  Using carbine buffer and spring, I do not even notice recoil.
My 16" 5.56 AR has more recoil.
