Read alot before you buy anything. Dont jump into a rifle until you are dead set on how you want it or you will waste money changing it up a dozen times. And read the tacked threads and use the search feature.

Forest has a tacted thread over in "AR Discussion" which is a great read if your new to this platform. I suggest you start there and then return if you have any questions. THIS VARIANT section is not dedicated to "M16 versus AR15 versus M4" but more to the variants in different rounds the AR platform handles. I think thats why you chose to post your question here versus the AR discussion portion.

I would suggest that you choose everything but have the important parts assembled by someone who is skilled at it and more importantly has all the right tools. You'll save money buying a lower then buying an upper.
