I see various short threads about the Daewoo K1, K2,2000 rifle -- lots of folks say they are really good, best of the AR15 and the AK with the piston but not imported anymore and can't get parts.

I have looked at two this last week in San Antonio and am impressed - so Why has someone in the US not gotten the rights to make them here? Seems like many would buy them so we could have a piston reliable AR mag and ammo rifle.  I would buy a couple if parts supply can be had and different barrel twists  offered.  How many would buy one it they were offered?
