I have been in the market for a .308 for sometime now. I have looked and tossed the Idea of an AK aside, I've also been looking at the SA M1A's but it appears there are too many questions on quality, especially for a $2000 gun, there should be none.

What I have read it seems the AP4 is a reliable and accurate .308 and has caught my fancy.

My questions are:

Are the lowers spec'd to fit all after market AR15 pistol grips, tele-stocks (like a magpul and do they use a standard mil spec buffer and spring?). Can you use AR15 trigger groups?
