How do you like ADCO's dimpling?  I've heard it's not as aesthetically pleasing as the KAC style that Marvin does.  You don't happen to have a picture of just the barrel do you?

I like it. I tried to go with Marvin, but couldn't reach him, and ADCO has always done good work for me in the past, and is quick. I also had ADCO re-contour the barrel forward of the gas block. Over all saved 4 ounces.

For comparison, here is the 14.5 barrel before being sent off.

Marvins work is awesome I just don’t have the patience to deal with mediocre communication and longer lead times.

Look great really nice set up. How long did It take to get your barrel done? I’m looking to do the same.

I’m about to purchase a suppressor for my blackout/5.56 platform-10.5 barrels on both.

Trying to decide on the Nomand or Sandman S.  Any of you all running these cans and have feedback?

Gut is telling me to go with the S but the nomad appears to be getting good reviews.

I have the Sandman S on a 10.5" MRP barrel. It works great in conjunction with a Bootleg Adjustable Carrier, and does just fine without that carrier.

You'll eventually want to convert every mount to Keymo and that's a big plus of the Sandman vs. Nomad.

I use a Rugged Razor and I'm extremely happy, but even so, the Keymo mount of the Sandman would be my go to in the future.

Thank you. It took 3 1/2 months. 3-4 months is pretty standard every time I have used him.

Finished mine, just added on that surefire brake. Planning on deafening myself indoors. Currently waiting on a can to go with it. Have a 14.5" p+w DI barrel and a 12" piston barrel/bcg as well but it's noticeably heavier.

No experience with the Nomad, but I love my S on both MRP and MWS... and everything else I put it on including .300 Blk. It’s not the quietest or lightest can out there, but it seems to be a very low back pressure can which makes it play well with most everything without messing with gas blocks and buffer weights.  Sure, it bumps the cyclic rate up a notch, but it’s very manageable.

No to mention (yet again) the Keymount system is stupid good and the Sandman is one of the most overbuilt cans out there.

i have a new LMT MRP build almost done but i have few questions.

1. LMT 10.5 DI barrels overgassed severely? All that i read said they correct gas port size for overall use both supressed and unsupressed. I assume around .70
2. if so what Spring/Buffers are you all running? Geissele Spring, Standard Spring H2, H3, JP Silent setup?

I only run quality Brass ammo (XM193, Mk262, etc..) and surefire can.

The build is an Mars Lower and MRP Mlok upper with LMT Enhanced bolt and normal LMT carrier currently waiting on the barrel to get here tomorrow with the rest of the parts..

Thanks for the help in advance..

Standard (fresh) spring, H2 buffer works perfectly with my 10.5" Di with or without suppressor with normal full power 556 ammo.
Normally I would expect at least a couple hundred rounds to "break in" a virgin gun, but this one has has exactly ZERO malfunctions.
Pictured above, LMT M-16 BCG.

Finally got a MARS lower. Little disappointed it’s marked Cal: Multi instead of 5.56mm. But whatever, finally gives me a reason to buy some blackout and 6.8 barrels.

It went from LMT to Primary Arms to me quickly. Date on the inspection card that comes with it is 3/20. Marked as inspected on 3/24.  I ordered it on 4/1 and had in hands a week later.

PS - Primary Arms has LMT buffer tube kits in stock for anyone looking.

It primarily for 300blk but I have a 10.5 5.56 I run in a lower/upper combo with a lwrc ucw stock and their standard buffer and spring. It always ran fine with a standard fa BCG and socom 762 mini can but I put a bootleg adjustable in it and the difference is very noticeable.

Very nice. I would be tempted to go rosco d. Wilson conversion.

I love the Sopmod, but that 10.5 is screaming for a slim stock and a LAW.

Going be sick either way. Congratulations

Looks great. I’m glad to see that there is another premiere smith doing work, especially catering to the monolithic platform. What was the turnaround time? I’d love to do two more versions of a MARS-H, MLOK. One with a factory LW or d Wilson converted lightweight 16” barrel, chopped 13.8 and pinned. The other would be either a Bartlein barrel or Krieger barrel conversion.

@Jerusalem
Agreed. The center dot size on the ATACR and Unexposed turrets are the two drawbacks for me. The only bug-a-boo I have with my Vortex 1-10 is no zero stop and the capped turrets. Both optics work well though, and capped is personal preference, but dot size, for LPR and dialing, isn’t. Lockable, zero stops, in this day, why not...Although the new  pinnacle, completely out of reach and impractical for most, the Schmidt Bender PM II 1-8x24 ShortDot Dual CC, with MDR-T6, Horus-ish reticle, needs to be included. My new dream optic. It intrigues me as much as my Leupold MK8 CQBSS H27 once did (still close second to the throne imo). I like my Vortex GEN3 Razor  1-10 quite a bit. Very close to being a Gucci class optic, but falls just short in a few areas, but very, very good. The Vortex is most at home on a 7.62 gasser imho.

Outside of that, for straight DMR like your canteen green setup above, my lust would be the Leupold MK5 in an H59.

The S&B would be VERY nice! I agree, I wish the Vortex had exposed turrets for the 10x. Anything under, and I am more than happy with covered turrets.

I FINALLY was able to find a Razor 1-10x. I'm going to use a Badger C1 mount, and will either put it on my MWS (with a 14" pinned barrel), or replace the Razor 1-6x on my SLK8 with a 13.9" barrel.  Next glass purchase will most likely be a MK5 3-18x with a Tremor and a offset Red dot... but the MAWL ate up that budget.

Sweet. Can’t wait to get your thoughts on the 1-10 once you’ve spent time with it. I’m envious on the MK5. It seems to be an incredible optic for the price.

Hello!  my good friend RotorWash109 has introduced me to the MRP platform and after shooting rifles from his collection, I have decided to build an LMT.  I've been a huge fan of quality products in life and have seen and felt the difference quality parts of LMT can make.  This will be my first MRP (probably of many).

I posted in the WTB thread but understand that section can often be overlooked.   Would anyone have a used CQB quad rail upper they would like to sell?  I prefer quads, as I have meat hooks for hands.  Thanks for reading, and I'm excited to complete the build.

Quick question on the LMT imperial rear sights. I just bought a set for my MRP, and when I attached the rear sight, it appears slightly tilted rearward when in the locked position... is this normal for these sights?
