I am thinking about grabbing a RAS II (SS specials) for the 6920. The price is pretty darned good, considering that it's FF, easy install, and comes with 3 11-rib panels.

But before I do that, I'd like to know:

1) Is there enough room for a TA01NSN on a TA51 mount behind that hump-thingee? I mount my TA01NSN 'one rail up' from the farthest back position; would I still be able to do that with a RAS II?

2) Does the bottom section 'lock in', ala the M4 RAS SAS, or is it more like the 'normal' M4 RAS bottom section?

Affirm as Wes said. I've got my RASII set up with an ACOG on the TA51 mount in front of an ARMS40LSP. The lower guard has a tooth that fits in a slot at the front of the upper guard, and then it clamps at the rear.

So you got a BUIS in there as well? Good to hear. I used to keep a KAC/300 on there, but (blasphemy!) I grew to like the NSN's ghostring...
