What type of handguard is this, small carbine or fat M4 type?
AR-15 GLACIERGUARD HANDGUARD

It's a fat M4 handguard. I have one on my 6520 and it is a VERY solid handguard. I don't think there is a stronger M4 handguard out there and for $15 at Brownells, you can't beat it.

The link above says $40.

I've handled a set of them before. Man, they are some thick-walled handguards. We had to remove and install them on a rifle, and they were a bear to work with.

I can get one up for $25... The thing is they weigh a half a pound... But if they are solid and handle the heat well, I think it should work out OK...

Thanks guys for the input...

Yeah it does but the trade discount price is $15. I wouldn't spend $40 on them, I'd rather pay $40 for Colt M4 handguards.
