Thanks to WES, I've got three different barrels for my MRP, changed them all back and forth a lot of times and have never had one bolt loosen up while observing the 140in-lb torque setting.

Torqued mine when I got it about a year ago, and after a few thousand rounds, the bolts are still at the same 140 in-lbs.

I have used Craftsman tools for years and their torque wrenches seem to maintain their accuracy pretty good. I use this one for checking the bolts on my MRP and any other bolts or screws on the other firearms I have around or work on.

Actually, the very early ones came with no instructions and the scuttlebutt on this board recommended 90 in-lbs. Once LMT decided to print instructions, the 140 figure was then known to be the factory recommended setting. |

Some of the very early ones and I remember the posts. Mine came with a hand written note on the QC tag with 140in-lbs and no printed instructions. May have been Wes, since MSTN is where I ordered it from, alomg with my second. |
