I just purchased a Cavalry Arms Cav15 rifle.    At the first sighting session the windage adjustment had to be moved to the far left of the available adjustment.  I returned the rifle to Cavalry arms and they told me the front sight was probably misaligned.  Since I wanted a flip up type sigh eventually, they replaced the front sight with a Yankee Hill flip sight at a reduced charge.  At the second sighting session the sight still required windage adjustment substantially of center.  Not as bad as the first time, but enough to make me wonder.  I can't complain about the basic accuracy.  After sighting in the BUIS I sighted in with a 2.5 power scope…. 2” groups off of a less than perfect bench with Am Eagle ammo.

The CavArms crew are good guys and make an excellent product.  And from your post, I'd say they have damn good customer service as well (ie. taking the gun back, installing a flip down sight, etc.)

I have seen guns from every major manufacturer that the rear is several clicks left or right of center.  This is common with iron sight on the AR15 weapon system.  If you can sight the gun in and have extra windage there is nothing to worry about.
