I'm interested in purchasing an RRA CAR A4 with the free float quad rail hand.  See the RRA page here.

Are these good rails?  Are all four rails universal or Picatinny standard?  Are you able to mount all the usual gear on them such as grips, flashlight mounts, scope mounts and rail covers.

Would this rail be worth it, or should just order regular handguards and pick up some LaRue, DD, GG&G, etc. rail/handguards instead?

the one you linked to is the yankee hill machine free float

imo good for the money but there are much better out there. i have never had any problems with mount anything on the yhm rails but some have had problems with mounting the tango down vfg but that was the earlier version iirc.

i personally went with the yhm for a cheap build but would rather save up for something better if i was to build another.

....the LaRue looks sharp and is priced right....I'll likely get that and not purchase the rail handguard that RRA is selling with the CAR.

Thanks for the responses!
