I found a place that still has the 45 in stock-you know...the flat (non-bilevel) one...and it is very tempting. it just makes the gun look, real, real mean.

I have a SIR on mine and it's cool. The biggest issue is whether or not you use an optic (in my case an EO Tech) and if you want to co witness your iron sights. With the SIR it makes the optic just a little too high to co-witness, I have a GG&G quick release set up for the EO Tech with a flip up BUIS. If my EO Tech went down, it would literally take 2 seconds to convert to iron sights. I think the FSB in my sight picture while using an optic is a pain in the ass. However, some like the ability to flip up the rear and that's it. The troy piece is cool too. But i'm building a SPR and i'm going to go with another SIR (just longer) I think the SIR is more of a "technical" look but both are extremely functional. As I live in Mass. I have personally met both Steve Troy and Richard Swan (A.R.M.S), they're both good guys and stand by their product, you cant go wrong either way. I would get the SIR. One last option is to buy the newer version of the SIR with the step down front, you can place an optic forward of the receiver and you can co witness, if you like the "straight across the top look" they make a rail that covers the front "step" and makes a flat rail across the top.

The Troy. Put one on my last build. We had a bushy with the SIR on it in the store I used to work at, too bulky for my taste.
