My RRA A3 carry handle arrived in the mail today, and being new to AR's I have one quick stupid question. Maybe this is just normal, but that metal piece that makes up the top rear of the carry handle is a completly different color from the rest of the forged carry handle. That piece just has tbat plain metal color to it which doesn't really match up. Now that doesn't bother me, but I was wondering if that's just normal.....

It's normal. That piece is parkerized steel while the rest of the handle is anodized aluminum.
