I have a set of Bushmaster M4 handguards, and I was able to pry out the head shield without damaging it.  I did this so I could install a GG&G rail on the underside of the handguard.  Now I can't figger out how to get the darn thing back in.  Is there a trick to putting a heat shield in the handguard?

Thanks in advance

I used a screwdriver to get them out, i put the blade inbetween the handguard and shield and turned it to pop them out.  Unfortunately, doesn't work both ways.  I can slip one side of the shield back in, but can't press the other side far enough down to slip it into place.

maybe it won't fit anymore with the rail in place. that's my guess
