I have the opportunity to pick one of these up and  I know squat about them.  I've been thinking about one of the Troy's or YHM's , but this one popped up suddenly.

Actual:

    Pro's... Con's..... ?????     I'm just a range and backwoods shooter but I do like toys .....

Never know when the Zombies will attack

                 Thank's,

                                      Steve

A decent railed forend in my opinion.  You will find some of us (Hawkeye and new-arguy) who love the ARMS SIRs to death while others (e.g.  Lumpy  ) do not find them useful for the money.

I liked my S.I.R a lot but it was just too bulky for me (it was the "slimline") not to mention the price of extra rails if you want the same amount of rail space offered by EVERY other railed forearm.

I sold mine and picked up a Larue Tactical 12.0.

The 46C weighs 16.7oz according to the chart.  Your SIR is fine, enjoy it.  It's a quality piece of equipment and has proven itself with the high-speed, low-drag folks so it will be fine for average Joes like us
