14.5 is what I was thinking too...however something about shaving weight appeals to me.

You can always have the 16" superlight cut down by KurtsKustom and have him attach the vortex ;-)

I used a Cav Arms 14.5" chrome-lined Gov't profile barrel with a pinned Smith Vortex for one of my personal builds. It's light under the handguards and heavy out front- basically M4 profile but without the M203 notch. A GREAT configuration in my opinion.
