Can you paint ss barrels?  I don't want the shinyness, but want it for other reasons.

Some companies like Oly ship their SS barrels with a black oxide coating.  And like others have said yo can always paint it yourself.

You can buy a durabake moly from lauer weaponry.

I had a gun finished in that (that is what DSA arms uses on there many colored camo and black fals. )

I bought the 1000degree version though and it was a little britle and would scratch if I scraped it on something.  I reccomend trying the normal finish first.

If I scraped it on something like a workbench, whatever, it was an easy 20minute job to get it looking brand new again.

The teflon coatings will sick better if you glass bead the barrel first.

The secert to painting stainless steel is use a
etching primer, it's the only stuff that will stick.It's also the best (most durable)metal primer.
