I've installed a Daniel's/LBC on my 6500 Colt(next model in production after the SP1) I had to do some fitting to get the take down pins to fit, but after that it looked like it came that way. Colors were very close and the forgings matched good. Just be patient while doing the fitting.

I don't know if Les Baer is stocking and selling these any longer, but here is a link to his webpage.

I had the same experience as Rick, the pivot hole was VERY tight and needed a bit of filing. The bolt carrier snagged on tight spots when manually slid into the receiver. I used some fine lapping compound on the bolt carrier and with a few passes, the carrier traveled smoothly the entire length of the receiver.

I installed a Colt carry handle and used it for my 300 Fireball upper.

After the fitting, it looked and shot perfectly.

Does anyone think the "LBC" on the Daniel Custom flattop upper, stands for Les Baer Custom ? Does Les Baer make these ?

I'm thinking that I need one of these for my next project. They look real nice!!

At $225 they are not cheap, but still cheaper than ANYTHING that says COLT on it.

I'll be placing an order with them...
