Does anybody know why the RRA TASC series of rifles retails for about $100 less that the rest of the RRA line? I can not see any reason for the price difference between these and the standard 16" A2. What am I missing?

Best explanation I've ever got on that was that it started life as a special carbine intent for the police market, and when there was some civilian market interest, the price wasn't adjusted.  You do get more for your money...primarily locking rear sights and Hogue grip.  All of the other parts are the same between CAR A2 and it.

They are still a small MFG.

I don't think the prices on their website
relate well to "real world" prices.

Example : you can buy a complete RR lower
from dealers for $230  - and a complete
A2 upper from SableCo for $400  - and up.
