So, does someone out there have the true configuration specs for a C7?

Maybe I should have been more clear........

I'm looking for the specific [b]configuration[/b], what kind of stock, flash hider, upper, lower, barrel, ect. it uses. I know the C7 is somewhat of an oddball rifle, kinda has a mix of A1 and A2 styling. Just want to get it right for my next build.

I built one on an SP1 lower. Found a Colt A1 large hole upper with fwd assist and brass deflector. It also now sports an M2 with carryhandle mount not shown in the picture.

Did the true C7s use a slightly shorter trapdoor buttstock, like the aftermarket ones being sold by Coal Creek? I just threw a standard A2 stock on it.

A1 upper but with round butt style forward assistant and deflector.

I still try to figure out how the Diemaco AR15 differs qualitywise from the "other" AR15 brands beside of the hammerforged barrel.

Butt stock is a dup of the late M16A1 type; shorter than the A2 but with the trapdoor buttplate. Don't know if the buttplate is the A1 type; smooth but with a checkered trapdoor, or like the A2 with checkering on both the plate and the trapdoor. If it is the A2 type, an A2 buttplate will fit the A1 stock perfectly[:D]

I believe the C7 is basically an A2, but with A1-length stock (made from same material as the A2) and with A1 sights and auto instead of burst. What Bushmaster is selling as an "A1" upper is really a C7 upper. Haven't heard of anyplace selling C7 stocks in the US. Barrel and FS are same as the US A2 as far as I know.
