My next prospective purchase is a long range rifle.  I figured you don't get much more long range than .50BMG, and I hear legislation is going to come down on them like a hurricane, so you might say I've been doing a little shopping around.  I really like the M82A1 Barrett, but it might take me a long while to get the funds for that kind of hardware!  I saw something on upper receivers chambered in .50BMG for ar15/m16 lower.  Does anyone know if these things are any good?  In particular, I looked at the UltraMag 50 product and it seems pretty neat, but I was just wondering if anyone has one and/or knows if they're worth a damn.  Any thoughts or knowledge shared would be appreciated greatly.
