This started off as a general JSOC thread but it's quickly become nothing more than talking about the Noveske Navy, so let's just dedicate it to that.

I think some people are jumping on the bandwagon. I never paid attention to people. I have some noveske stuff from when people say they were on the decline but mine looks awesome. Some of the stuff for this build I already had so that tells you where I stand.

A Noveske group on facebook. Total luck of the draw.

I need to send the parts off to get cerakoted now. The Gen 3 upper/Gen 1 lower does look good together.

Well, I've been watching the Noveske sight for weeks trying to get a barrel. Looks like they have removed the lightweight contour barrels from the website .....

I don’t know why they had a site sale when nothing was in stock. I’ve been on the search for the upper and a barrel. I’d atleast like the upper so I can get my stuff cerakoted.

I know it is SS, but why not?

Brownell’s, Faxon, Criterion, all offered nitride, SS barrels.  Just trying to figure out the why.

I took a chance and bought what looks like the last one. Going to go the same route as some of you guys. Buy the medium contour for now and replace with the correct "Navy" profile at a later date.

I was almost tempted to buy the barrel nut and NSR hardware from Noveske to try and get in on this group nitride.. but it looks like Noveske has a 4 week lead time for shipping.

I'm in the same boat as far as getting a second set of NSR hardware... it's already a pain in the ass to get the nitride so wish I had a second set to get coated for a future 5.56 upper.

Just started a 5.56 & 300blk pair this morning. Been doing my research until now. Took advantage of what noveske had in stock and now I'm gonna snag some cans.

For sure, I thought they did it for rust protection but it seems to me the barrel nut would be the easiest to rust out of all the hardware.

Your Noveske clone was the deciding factor in trading out my EXPS3 for an Aimpoint T2 on a Scalar works mount last night. Well done.

Well yeah I can easily hit the castle nut w/ a brass brush to bust rust, can't really do that w/ the barrel nut lol. Well luckily you can purchase a nitride castle nut pretty easily.

Maybe they use them on the Afghan/recce type guns

I just finished buying a bunch of small parts and furniture.. and I gotta say it's sorta nice just being able to go on Primary Arms or Noveske and buying the parts I need for non-rare-rapey-clone-autism high prices lol. No paying for a rare FDE sopmod for $300+. Yeah the upper, lower, rail, and barrel are hard to find right now but it seems like they're trickling into retailers.

Hahaha if it was in 5.56, the CQBR would
be collecting dust. Maybe one I'll luck out on a 5.56 dev barrel... I can dream right?

With the scarcity of the rail alone I doubt there will be enough available parts to replace the cqbr LOL
