After wanting a Dissipator for a while I put this together last week. I should have bought a Spikes upper years ago when it was available. But I delayed and ended up getting one from a company known for canted front sights. They offered to fix it but that upper was quickly stripped for parts and rebuilt.
Windham Weaponry M4 profile carbine gas length, would prefer mid length. Fulton Amory A1 upper with M4 cuts and USGI rear sight. DSG BCG BCM medium charging handle Anderson lower, used 2 on lower end builds with no issues. DSG lower kit with ALG mil spec trigger. DSG CTR stock kit with an H buffer. Magpul furniture and aluminum trigger guard topped off with a Surefire flash hider My first go with the AT Armor Rhodesian paint kit. Plan to do an AK before I commit to painting my FAL.  Attached File Attached FileAfter mounting the barrel and gas tube I took it out for a stress test before painting. Ran over 500 rounds in one sitting, jam on the very first round and flawless after. No sight adjustments but I was hitting an old fire extinguisher at 150 and dropping rounds on or around a steal plate at 375. I guess the sight is straight. This weekend I'll actually group it on paper. |

Looks great! I built one in 5.56 and liked it so much I built one in .308 as well. Fun rifles.

Windam weaponry only does carbine gas length. For expedience and odds of getting a straight front sight I went with them. It turned out well. |

Got a PSA Dissy, came in yesterday. FSB is straight and tight, finish is good. Put it on a Ruger lower with a PSA LPK and EPT trigger.

Are any of you guys having issues with using a F marked FSB with an A1 upper?
I bought one of the PSA nitride uppers and am kind of wanting to switch it to an A1 as a KISS build. |
