We don't have a pic thread strictly for defensive rifles, so lets see them!

This will include home defense, vehicle defense (ie, trunk guns), and duty rifles. Basically any AR that fills the role of protecting you, should that time come, is fair game.

Lets limit this to rifles only (no pistols). Feel free to write a quick description on the specs of your build, as well as the ammo you have loaded up.

I'll start with mine:

Upper:

LMT 10.5
F1 .30 6" Ti suppressor
Geissele Mk2 rail
Surefire Mini Scout
Aimpoint T1/LT660
PA 3x magnifier (doesn't always stay on there)
KAC VFG
MBUS

Lower:

LMT Defender 2000 SBR
Geissele SSA-E
Because of cost, I have 62gr MSR Fusion in my mag

This was a trunk gun I had for a while. It was a KAC SR-15 E3 Mod 0 upper, Leupold Mark AR 1.5-4x20, and Anderson lower.

Truck gun. PSA 10.5" upper, poverty pony lower, BCM BCG and CH, Holosun HS403R in a Larue mount.

A silly term for Anderson Mfg lower receivers. They have a horse as a logo (like Colt does, different style though) but are cheap ~$30-$40 lowers. They're just fine though.

Sorry for the potato photo, my HD rifle is always beside me like it is right now.

The specs are as follow:

Lower: Aero standard lower, PSA LPK with ALG ACT trigger, BCM buffer tube assembly with carbine buffer, Magpul fixed carbine stock, Magpul moe grip and trigger guard.

Magazine: in the gun is a gen 3 window Pmag, back up mag is a Lancer (all mags hold 28 rds)

HD ammo: Federal XM193 5.56 55 grain FMJ

Hearing protection next to the rifle is Howard leight impact sport with gel cups.

ETA: Magpul MS1 sling with standard Magpul QDs

Thanks. It's just a cheap budget rifle that i have hidden in my truck and I won't be out much if it happens to get stolen.

Looks great!

May I ask why the Lancer instead of a 2nd pmag as a backup? Just seems kind of unusual to me to rock 2 different brand mags for this purpose. Also does your Lancer seat easily? In a high stress situation I would not want a tight mag to be a concern I had to deal with.

Proven mags are proven mags.  Many of us don't only use one brand.

Does BOOGALOO SPEC count??

Still waiting on a few more boutique items but I really like where she is right now.

This is my go to rifle.

SPECS
Mas Defense 10.5” nitride barrel, 1/8, wylde
SICO SAKERK 5.56 with ASR FH
MAGPUL PRO BUIS
SLR Solo mlok rail
Surefire m300 scout
Unbranded barricade handstop
BCM LOPRO gas block
Aero Precision upper
BCM gunfighter grip
Anderson lower
Standard LPK (I’m about to order a larue trigger)
Leupold VX-R patrol 1.25-4x
Larue 1.5 SPR QD scope mount
Raptor LT charging handle
Strike Industries Viper PDW Stabilizer

I am waiting on a dual pressure switch and I will be moving my surefire and adding a DBAL I2, and possibly railscales front sight on the DBAL.  I also recently ordered enhanced parts from strike industries for the receivers. I may add an RMR or similar red dot on top of the Leupold or in a 45 degree mount. I am still undecided.

No reason besides I can like said above they are both proven and both have been vetted by me. The Lancer mag does seat easily for me with 28 rds (all my mags are loaded to 28 rds).

Bedside rifle. I've taken a couple classes with this one. Own rifles with free float barrels and all the frilly shit but at the end of the day, the regular handguards just do it better for me. For NV use, the MARS has an IR laser (no illuminator, but usable).

Sure thing bro...it's all IDF gear. The sling was issued in ~2009 as a morale item with really crappy metal clips and plastic tri glides. It says "Barzelet battalion, March 2008" (Nahal brigade's 50th bn, the only airborne bn outside of the paratroopers brigade). These were replaced with heavy duty clips and metal tri glides off of an issued IDF sling. The front clip has bike tire over it to keep noise down. It's attached at the rear with paracord, and the front using a "hovek," - I have no idea what that translates to. Basically it's a velcro thing that goes around the handguard...it has a "tookie" (carabiner, they call it that because it looks like a parrot by the same name from an Israeli kids' cartoon) for dummy cording optics and a plastic D ring for slings. There's a loop of paracord connecting this D ring to the sling seen here from a class, pre-paintjob.

A lot of the IDF slings have pouches on them. The little pouch with my unit patch on the sling has 2 AA batteries in it, either for the MARS or a PVS14. I like this setup as a do-all serious gun because I can run the whole thing, daylight and night vision monocular and IR laser, off of commonly found AA batteries.

Thanks! Damn, that's slick. I like that setup. I prefer AA's as well. I burn through batteries waaaayyyy too fast to run CR123's in everything

I remember when these were first discussed and thought they were pretty cool. Then yesterday I rediscovered the post and saw where they posted the civilian sales. I was AMAZED at the cost of the pistol. I figured it would be WAY more.

Been lurking here off and on for a while but never thought I could post but thought I'd give it a shot this week. I know some can be pretty hard on people's equipment choices but you honestly never know their story so here goes.
This is my first AR originally painted by my daughter but I've added some since. She isn't top o' the line by most standards here but she works reliably and, she's mine.
