LGS has Colt LE6920MP-BLK for $1320 and a LE6940 for $1500.

I know the 6920 is about $180 more than their pre-panic price. The 6940, I'm not sure what their pre-panic price was.

Good deal? Bad deal? Which to purchase?

They have 2 of the 6920's and 3 6940's. They have a one rifle purchase per customer though.

I know the these prices may not be the lowest, but hey, at least they have some AR's to sell where most have little to no supply.

Thanks for the info/opinions/suggestions.

Buy either one you want.   I suspect others on here, besides me, wish they could find those prices locally... or anywhere for that matter.

Hard to say what prices are these rifles are going to be doing in a week, a month, or even a year.

Another 180 isn't bad considering you can have one in your hands right now.

I do suspect though, that the pre panic prices are probably not going to be back anytime soon regardless of what happens.

Check your local Walmart.  If they have the LE6920, it is just under $1100.  Not sure how that compares to your listed models.

Exactly, in the time it took you to post this, someone else already bought both of them!

Gander wanted 1499 for a LE6290MP-ODG today.  I've been looking for a colt and when the rep brought out the tag and it said Colt M4 Carbine i thought i had gotten lucky. Then i saw it. Yuck. I could have been ok with the guards and stock being ODG but not the upper and lower. It was hard to look at....WM still has them at 1098 and they are getting them weekly from what I can tell.

If they exact a tax stamp for an AR, who knows what the price is going to be ... surely not $200.

Thanks for the responses. This was at closing time and they are not open on Sundays, so Monday morning here I come.

Yes, this is my first AR. Been around them for several years now. With talks of a ban and limited supplies, I finally decided to spend the money and quit being a tight wad.

Nothing wrong with being a tightwad, I mean being thrifty as I like to call it, lol.  Allows you to lay down the Franklins when you make a bigger purchase.  Cash sometimes helps with a better deal and always keeps you out of credit card debt.  Go get it, you can't take it with ya.

I'd say considering the current climate it's not a bad price.
My feeling is that this whole mess is going to quiet down a bit in a few weeks....American Idol starts again soon.

If you all posting these buy or not to buy threads new how hard some of these rifles are to find you wouldn't be asking.
I've had friends looking all over and I mean no stone unturned unable to find any AR let alone a slightly overpriced Colt.
Honestly if you tell me where they are at in Georgia I know several guys that would leave there house now to be there when the store opened.

We've be bone dry on 22lr 9mm and 5.56 for weeks now as well .

So go buy it and while your at it get a NRA membership and write every POS politician you can .. No compromise

Wishful thinking I hope your right but its not going to die down in the next few weeks.  You haven't been able to get BCG and other stuff for months now and that was before all this BS...

I'm being somewhat sarcastic, but I do believe the turmoil will die down in the near future. It may take awhile for prices to settle down but the fevor will subside.

Those are selling for over $2,000-2,500 in most areas.

If you want it now, then just buy it. Otherwise you might be waiting 6 months to find it again at a reasonable price.

That's a good price in today's market. Most are going for around $2000 it seems. Here in Colorado the gun shops that do have 6920s,  which is practically none, are selling them for nearly $3000.
