Can you post a link of a quality folding vertical fore grip?

Fixed.    i'd be afraid a folder would collapse by accident.    Why would I need it folded anyway?

I've never even held a rifle with a vertical grip, I have held one with the Magpul angled grip. It did feel nice, this led me to wonder about a folder with multiple positions as I thought I could use it @90 degrees or 45 for the Magpul feel....or maybe somewhere in between....

This would go on a range/hunting .22, so not too concerned about critical operation...

Id stick pick a nice fixed VFG like the one from magpul, because folders are to busy for me on an AR15.

Fixed... I don't know why folding VFGs even exist

I was given a Knights Armament years ago as a thank you for proofreading the SOPMOD manual by the editor... I use it as a monopod and not a grip....came in very handy on the long range stage at Ft Benning several years ago when we had to shoot off the peak of a 4/12 shingled roof stage....

So you used it with your stock? I don't understand...

Is it a matter of comfort at this point because I don't think you need a VFG for recoil control w/ .22

Edit: I've tried fixed and angled but not folding. I'd say just get a fixed one. I didn't care for my AFG2 but loved my MVG.

Doesn't MARSOC issue some fancy / pricey folding VFG?

I like fixed and my favorite is el cheapo Tapco stubby vfgs.  Fixed is less to mess with, you get used to the position and feel, you something to grab on to that is always there, you can use similar to magwell grip depending on where you put it and you get nice balance in cqb drills

Jukebox13...the roof was slippery from frost and condensation ... wedged the foregrip on one side of the peak, and magazine on other to keep from slipping off the roof and provide a stable shooting position

I guess, seem like I can hold more steady when shooting offhand if I can pull tighter to my shoulder, so I was thinking a vfg would let me do that easier....won't know till I try....
