So I decided to ditch my Vltor ideas and went ahead and ordered a 16" BCM mid length upper with 12" Larue hand-guards. I plan on just going with a BCM lower also to complete the rifle.

I will be getting a bravo company lower with a vltor stock, I still need to get a bcmgunfighter charging handle with a BCM BCG. It should all be finished by early December hopefully. |

Why'd you decide against VLTOR?

It was from a pure aesthetics look that I was considering VLTOR and the more I considered it I decided to go with the BCM.

Also what Eotech device would you recommend, I am leaning to the types that use AA batteries?

I have been really looking at the 512 and I think it is the 516?

Great choice. here is my all BCM Middy, I put an Eotech 517 on it

Excellent choice on the upper. I have the BCM Mod 4's on all of mine, they are awesome ! |

512 516 517 besides night vision capability what is the difference other than price?

512 516 517 besides night vision capability what is the difference other than price? The 512 is the non nv version of the 552, it's an absolute cowitness, uses AA batteries. The 516 and 517 have a built in riser which gives you a lower 1/3 cowitness. The 516 uses CR123 batteries, the 517 uses AAs |
