Hey guys, I just recently bought a new AR-15, a WOA barreled SPR with Larue 12.0 rail, Larue/Troy BUIS, vortex flash hider,BCM auto bcg and gasbuster charging handle, Spikes Tactical lower, Magpul MIAD, enhanced trigger guard, and MOE vertical grip. I am still in the process of looking for a replacement stock but I think I've decided on a Magpul ACS. I also need to get a harris bipod for the rifle too.
As of right now, its still got the standard trigger, but I did some work on it and got it all polished up so its pretty nice right now. When I was adjusting the trigger and polishing it, I noticed that the hammer spring was installed backwards. It took me a while to figure out what was going on because once i took the hammer out, I couldnt get it back in the lower. I looked at some pictures of how the hammer spring was suppose to be, and sure enough, it came from Spikes installed backwards. That kind of shocked me.
My second problem was when I loaded up my new windowed Pmag, when the bolt is closed, the mag will not seat in the magwell very well...you have to hit the bottom of the mag to make sure it gets locked in there. When it was fully loaded (30 rounds), I hit the mag so it would seat, then the window cracked due to the pressure from the rounds in the mag. I took all the rounds out and it seats perfectly unloaded, but even with 5 rounds, it wont seat properly. I emailed Midway USA and theyre shipping me out a new mag free of charge.
Heres a few pictures of the gun and the cracked window on the mag:

Magpul would probably like to look at that mag and see what went wrong.

I had 2 magpul 30 rounders that would not work for me. Probably was the rifle but it turned me off to them. After about a year and shortly after getting involved with ARFCOM I  spoke to there customer service. They admitted to some issues and made it sound like it was all there fault. They sent me 2 new 30 rounders as a replacment and a new 20 rounder. Seems i mentioned to the guy on the phone that the 20 round colt mag was my favorite. Well its been well over a year now and about 4600 rounds through those 3 new mags. Not one issue since. I now own 20 30 round p-mags and 5 20 round p-mags.

Thanks for the response on the magazine situation. I sent an email off to Magpul and am waiting to hear back from them. Has anyone with a Spikes Lower had the same problem with the hammer spring being installed backwards? Also, I am thinking about changing the Vortex flash hider to a Surefire MB556K break/adapter since I will be buying a can for this rifle later on. What is everyones experiences with this adapter? Is there a better option out there?

No better option than the surefire can. Adaptor works well.
