This is my first AR ever and now I'm hooked, it eats anything I put in it. I got this Bushmaster at the height of the Obama rush for guns, but i only paid  $850 thanks in part to a coworker having to buy an engagement ring.HAHAHAhttp://img11.imageshack.us/img11/1267/p9190030.jpghttp://img3.imageshack.us/img3/1023/p9190031.jpghttp://img33.imageshack.us/img33/6214/p9190032.jpghttp://img6.imageshack.us/img6/1093/p9190033y.jpg

What came with it.....
3 boxes of ammo
Truglo Redot
Tactical Carry in case
2 Mags

Things  I added......
YHM forearms
Fenix 11R2 flashlight (love it)
P-Mags
V-tactical sling
CCA forward grip

The painting thing sucks about to take the white off

Whoa. The boy must have wanted to git hitched pretty bad.
I hope he told her after he proposed that he just hopes shes as reliable and trustworthy as the rig he just sacrificed.

Congrats to him but especially to you.

Welcome to the club....try to manage this new addiction as best as you can.  I really like those 2x truglos, i have one on a 10/22 that i threw on a 6920 one range trip to see how well it would handle .223 and i was surprised...1.5 moa @ 100 avg. with 55 gr. hornady was awesome for an optic that costs a bit under 100$

Thanks guys. If it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't know where to start.

I was a little weary of the red dot as well but about a mount ago the black  beauty got her first kills (hogs) got two getting a drink of water turned and got 3 on the run about 40 yards away dropped all of them. It might not be an ACOG but it does the job.

Nice one buddy. Waiting patiently for the upper for my first AR too. Might have to watch my addition grow, but no girl friend/wife to worry about, wait thats a plus. More toys for me!

Nice Bushy!!!  I personally don't care for the A2 Upper but if you have some extra cash you can get a stripped flattop upper and use your parts and you open a lot more options for mounting optics.

Look again, it's an A1 upper

+1

A1 uppers just scream KISS. I would've left it simple and light but congrats on your new gun!

+1!

My g/f unit and I are probably splitting because I went and shot my new BCM for the first time last weekend
instead of dropping what I was doing to go shopping, for her.
BRD helps numb the pain better than Jack Daniels as I can't wait to get home and let my ARs outa the safe.

Next g/f I get I'm ordering from Bravo Co. Reliable, no problems, minimal slop...
