I'm interested in trying out a heavier buffer to help with some minor problems I've been having with my RRA midlength AR.  What are the names for the different length buffers, and which ones are lighter/heavier?  Any particular website that's best to order from?

Thanks.

For carbine stocks, in order from lightest to heaviest:

Carbine
H1
H2
H3
9mm

There are some other weights out there as well. For a midlength, a carbine or H1 should work fine. What sort of problems are you having?

What problems have you been experiencing? I find that midlength and standard carbine buffers are a good combination.
