Upper just came back from ADCO today, another great assembly job. Don't know whether to call this a Recce or a "Mini-SPR". Specs are:
Compass Lake Engineering 16" Douglas Stainless Match barrel, 1/7 twist. midlength gas system, SPR profile. OPS-INC brake-collar Colt M4 upper receiver Colt FA BCG PRI Gasbuster CH Larue Tactical 11" rails, Bobro VFG KAC gas block Troy front and rear BUIIS KAC side sling swivel. LMT Defender lower w/SOPMOD stock and 2 stage LMT trigger, Tango Down battlegrip Harris HBRM-S bipod on Larue QD mount. Vickers BF sling Upper assembled and barrel KG coated by ADCO The optic on there for the moment is a Trijicon TA01 NSN ACOG, Optic was SUPPOSED to be a Leupold MR/T. 1.5-5x (illuminated SPR reticle) in a Larue SPR 1.5 QD mount. Hopefully it will be if UPS can figure out who the hell they misdelivered the scope to. Pics Taken on the BLUE COUCH of course!

Sweet as always.
Do you have time to actually shoot all these? If you ever get tired of some of these top quality builds let me know if you sell any uppers. |

I don't think jcrowl actually gets all these new uppers...I think he just recycles the same 2 or 3 barrels on the same upper assembly with the same optic and lower, that way he can claim to have so many guns when he really only has something like three. That or he's really good with Photoshop.
Conspiracy theory! I demand a family gun picture for proof of ownership.

He has done a family pic so I know he has at least 10 complete rilfes but I would love to see the What is it now like 19 group shot.

jcrowl - How do you like the KG coat that Adco put on it. How durable does it seem? Is it comparable to the ion bond?

I think the Leupy will go perfectly with that build...very sweet "mini SPR"!
I'm thinking if the Bobro fell between the seat cushions that would be ok though.

Can you measure from the end of your rail and see if there is 2.2" from the rail to the bevel where the suppressor mounts on the collar?
Pretty please with a cherry on top?
