Why would you cut it? You're going to have to remove the FSB anyways to install a LaRue or some of the DD rails.

I don't want to remove the front site base. Does this mean I'm going to be limited to handguards that install like factory plastic handguards?

LaRue won't be an option, nor will any of the handguards that use their own barrel nut.

They are two-piece freefloat railed handguards, NO modification or cutting required for installation. (obviously, you get to keep the FSB too). DD Omega 9.0 I have the Omega on the rifle I currently own. I guess my question is, when using the FSB and using the Omega, do most folks leave the handguard cap on, even though it isn't needed, or do they cut it off? |
