They say it's a STAG so if that's true it's spec baby

Back when I was in college I worked for BFI for a very short time.

If its a Stag/CMT tube then it is mil-spec.

But we refuse to answer anymore questions because you didn't post pictures.

Bill collector....oooo.....ouch.....yeah, I'd rather be on the truck than that. Got stuck doing some of that once upon a time too. Just one more of those things I wouldn't do again even if I was starving.

I thought I read someplace, ar15, ? . . .that COLT gave CMT/STAG/S&W a hard time about using there Mil-spec stock,  and pressured them into switching to the commercial tube.

? ? ? ? ?

. . .not sure though.

The stock in the pics above is a different shape from my Colt M4 stock.

The area in front of the latch is radiused on the commercial stocks,  and a sharp 90* on the Colt.

Colt stock:

I would keep your stock anyway
if anything add a saddle before buying a VLTOR etc

MIL SPEC buffer tube only matters if switching out to a VLTOR or SOPMOD etc

The mil spec are not THAT MUCH stronger

I have 3 differnt ones

The old Fiber lite

VLTOR

SOPMOD

The SOPMOD is  made like a TANK
