I have to say I'm very happy with how this came out.

FULL SIZE

FULL SIZE

What you see here is:

CMMG 14.5" Midlength Upper
Vortex FS
ARMS #40L
Larue 9.0
Larue EoTech Riser
Eotech 552
Surefire M962
Larue Offsett Surefire mount LT117
Vicker's Tactical 2 pt Sling
Bushmaster factory lower
VLTOR stock
Magpul Triggerguard
and assorted odds and ends

It handles beautifully. I don't know what else to say. Can't wait to shoot it.

The upper and lower color match isn't perfect, but I don't care about that.

Pictures were taken with a Nikon D200.

Very, very nice. I would love to deck out my 14.5" CMMG mid the same way. Enjoy it!

I am very interested to see what you think of it after a trip to the range. Looks great.

Well, it is very light, but the barrel configuration is like my Noveske Afghan. I'm not worried about function.

But it is VERY light, I'm not sure why, but it feels almost as light as my KISS carbine.

Thanks for the props guys.

Geez, what's up with all the new builds these last 2 days? Nice build.

I just got my Vickers sling today after "finding" it last week. I never heard about\seen them before then but it was just what I was looking for. Now I'm starting to see I am way behind the curve! Better late then never I guess?

CMMG are getting caught up with their backorders, for which I am very glad. I have vacation coming up in the middle of next week. Can you say range time? You bet.

Ok got it to the range for a quick sight in session.

I fired about 200 rounds with no issues. Fired a mix of old old wolf, Swiss 62 gr, and Q3131.

Here's 25 yards: 20 rounds total

At 50 yards:

It really handles beautifully. Very smooth functions and I love the sling so far.

I don't know which I'm more jealous of; your rifle or your lawn!

No excess copper fouling by chance?

That's what I was thinking.  The lawmower blade needs sharpening (ragged cuts on the blades of grass), but I'd kill to get my grass that dense and green.

Not that I've noticed. I just took another look and I see NO copper fouling, but then again it was only 200 rounds.

200 rounds is by no means conclusive.
