Is there anywhere I can view pictures of an M4 barrel extension/receiver and a standard rifle barrel extension/receiver?

I am having a hrad time discerning between the 2. The upper in question started life as an M&A M4 upper that I rebarreled with an M4 barrel from J&T when the ban ended. Do J&T M4 barrels have M 4 cuts?

Thanks

Standard barrel extention ramps are cut at 45°. M4 ramps are cut at a steeper 52° and extend into the upper receiver.

The Colt M4 barrel extension also has a "4" stamped in the 3 o'clock position.

Guess my S&W m4orgery doesn't really have an M4 barrel since it doesn't
have the 4.

Silly question time... why would you want M-4 feed ramps?

More reliable feeding.  There have been a ton of threads on M4 ramps, look back through the AR section and you're bound to find some of them.  They'll give you more info than I can think of now because I'm about ready to fall asleep.

Good luck on your search.

Colt does the "4".  There are others out there selling "to spec" M4 type extensions without the "4".  Key words - "to spec".
