Do I just hammer a punch in between the tightened castle and the recevier end plate??  Or is there a better way to do it??

Thanks!

Yep, See those small notches that are against the end plate?  You can hit at the corner of the end plate there with a punch and hammer - some of the material will be forced into the notch, thus staking it in place.
