I was wondering if anyone knew what it would take (as in paperwork maybe from the BATF?) to get my 16" barrel cut down to around 12" and then re-threaded to accept a Noveske flash suppresor?? thanks

That will make it an SBR and all federal and state regulations have to be followed on them.  Check the full auto section and they have it spelled out pretty good.  Just hope you can even have them in your state.  I live in the communist state of IL and even police officers can not have them here unless they are owned by the department.  Good luck.
