Do they work together?  Meaning how rigidly do they mate?

Thanks

I have both Samson MRSF-M (9") and MRFS-R (12") rails and my TD VFG fits them both and it's a tight fit.

It takes a little more time to install but when done, no grip movement at all.

My TD VFG installs on my LaRue quicker and also a good fit but not as tight as the Samsons.

I would recommend installing the VFG on the Samsons closest to the end you want to install it.

If you want it at the rear end rail, remove the lower rail first before installation.

Use two nylon tie straps on the locking levers for ease of installation as required.

It's a PITA to install but with a little patience, no major problems.

Nice and solid as in YHM rails where you have to use a rubber mallet?  I like this because my YMH/TD combo is solid as hell.

No rubber mallet required on mine, just two small nylon tie straps and my two hands.

At first, I tried installing the grip from the front end and after five positions later I gave up and removed the rail and intalled it from the rear up to B19 position.

Pins or punches could also be used to keep the locks from locking while the grip is pushed into place.

It's a nice solid fit on my Samsons but just a normal fit on my LaRue, I bet It'll get loose first on the LaRue later on.
