I am loading 77gr hpbt in my ar.1in8 twist and have read recommendations, to change bolt buffer to enhance accuracy. via slow the bolt down a little for gasses and pressure changes, I have dis assembled my stock buffer  and thinking of adding weight to it for the disired effect, is this correct? and if so how much weight is desireable to achieve my needs, ALL YOU GURUs Heres a chance to share your hard earned knowledge!! much thanks and am standing by for responses litteraly!!

I wouldn't try to add weight to a buffer, as the weight inside it needs to slide back and forth to work correctly. Are you using a rifle or carbine stock?
