I am thinking of cutting an extra 16" mid barrel down to 13" and adding a KX3 to it for a new build. My question is will this play havoc on the gas system having the gas port that much closer to the muzzle? Has anyone tried this before? Any imput will be apreciated.

I had my mid length cut to 13 3/4" and a KX3 perm attached. Shoots great...not a bobble one. It needs to be 13 3/4" or the overal length will be under 16" when you attach the KX3. Talked to Norrel about the same concern and he stated the KX3 builds pressure just fine.

Also, recoil seems much less with the mid length and KX3 vs standard car gas system.

What I'm thinking of is cutting my barrel down to 13 3/4" and adding the KX3 then using the Larue 13.2 tube.
