Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - YHM flip up front sight finish question

My new YHM flip up front sight came in today and upon inspection, the finish has several nicks in it. It's mostly around the hard edges. It's not that  big of a deal, this is a gun that i go troumping around in the woods with. But I would expect a 100% finish on a brand new part. Have any of you ever had a similar problem with YHM, or do you think I just got a bad one?

I've noticed few finishes stand up well on sharp edges...maybe that's a cost cutting step on a YHM?

I mean, yes, it's nice to beat up your own stuff - but new/perfect condition can be nice!

If it really matters to you, exchange it...
