While I am a big proponent of 2 stage triggers, some match triggers, and trigger with some set screws being OK I will have to go with no on the JP. THough you can use lots of loktite and probably never have aproblem it just has too many adjustments for my taste to feel comfortable.

+1 You don't want even the slightest doubt on a weapon you're going to trust your life with.

Does your rifle have the optics/accuracy that using a match trigger would allow you to take full advantage of? If not, then definitely no.
If you must have a match trigger on your "SHTF" rifle, keep a regular fire control parts set in your gear or preferably on the rifle so you can change them out if neccessary (preferably not while taking fire, or being mauled by animals). The modular trigger packs are the only ones I would consider for serious use, simply because there is less to go wrong with them. Several of my friends have thousands of rounds through these without problems...I'll be convinced after I get one and it works the same for me. |

3.5 k no problems what so ever on the JP. Others have over 10k, at what point is something reliable enough??

I run the JP drop in system in my RECCE without any issues. This is also the weapon I haved in several carbine classes. I don't know that I would choose this trigger for a SHTF weapon though.
You are most likely better off with a single stage factory trigger. C4 |

Agreed. Myself as well as several friends have MANY thousand rounds thru our JP triggers without issues. Correct installation is everything. The parts must be chemically clean and the LocTite allowed to set for 24 hours prior to use. After that, it's smooth sailing. |
