mounted directly to upper receiver w/ LMT or other BUIS.

Preferrably as far forward as you can possibly mount it.

I've got mine mounted and if it's mounted as far forward as it can be without touching the slip ring, the ARMS base extends past the end of the upper receiver approx. 1/4 inch.  If set one position back it is short of the front of the upper by the same amount.  I assume that's correct but would like someone to post a pic for comparison.  I was under the impression that the ARMS base would be flush with the front of the upper.

Some people post some anal retentive S#!T on here and I think I must be the worst one but would appreciate any responses.

I swapped my lever around so it's on the opposite side.
