look in the EE for an M261 conversion kit. i had one a little while back but sold it to get funds for a new upper. they're worth the money. lots of fun. should be easy enough to find an M261 kit. and it just replaces your bolt and you're ready to shoot.

You might also want to go to DPMS` website. I believe they offer .22LR Uppers in several configurations. HTH

the kits you are looking at are realy good i have two and they work great i use bulk federal form walmart

I have Ciener 22LR caliber conversion kit... Yup... Work great with Federal value pack form Wal-Mart...

I have a Ceiner too, works great. Plenty accurate in my 16 inch dissy. I asked on the rimfire thread (but no responses) if using those can harm or are bad for heavy match barrels when going back to 5.56/.223.
Anybody know/heard anything? |

I don’t see how it can hurt the barrel, its .22lr 40 grain coated lead bullets, and lead is soft metal…
Just clean it before you go back to normal ammo... |

I have both the M261 and Ciener. I 've been able to get the M261 mags alot cheaper. $110 for 10 on EE but they both work well. M261 comes only in 10 round version. I have had to use only quality mags to insert the M261 mags into. I learned the hard way. I thought I could get away with cheap 20 round AR mags to put the M261 inserts into. Resulted in many misfeeds. Make sure to send regular 223 ammo through every few hundred rounds of 22 cal. At least that is what the more knowledgeble (sic) tell me to avoid gas tube issues.
